Fall Leagues & Activities

Once again, Minneapolis Rec will be partnering with Lincoln Rec, Bennington Rec, and Solomon Rec to bring flag football league play to the kids of our community. Participation in this league will require short travel to Bennington, Lincoln and Solomon and is open to Kinder through 4th graders interested in furthering their skills on the football field. 

Enrollment opens July 10th through July 26th. Late enrollment will be accepted through August 2nd with an additional $10 fee assessed. Teams will be formed by August 3rd to allow practices to begin and run through the majority of August. 

Play will begin Wednesday, September 2nd and runs through September 26th. We will reserve October 3rd for make-up purposes. Games will be held on Saturdays, except for the one Wednesday, but times and age divisions will be determined by enrollment numbers throughout the league and are TBD. Tentative plans are in place for a K-2nd and a 3rd-4th division. 

Cost: $30 per player from July 10th - 26th, $40 per player from July 27th - August 2nd.

Games will be held on Saturdays, except for the one Wednesday, but times and locations will be determined after enrollment numbers throughout the league are finalized. Teams will be formed in order to keep girls playing with their own classmates as much as possible.

Minneapolis Rec is excited to partner with Crosspoint Church and introduce Punt, Pass & Kick to the youth community. Show off your football skills in our annual Punt, Pass & kick competition. This fun event allows young athletes to test their fundamental gridiron skills in a friendly, supportive environment.

Participants compete in 3 core football skills. Scores are based on a combination of distance and accuracy. Every participant gets 3 attempts at each event, and scores are tallied to determine division leaders. 

Divisions : Kindergarten, 1 & 2nd Grade, 3 & 4th Grade, 5 & 6 grade and 7 & 8 Grade

Enrollment opens September 6th and ends October 4th. 

Competition will be held at Minneapolis Football Field, October 7th at 6:30 pm. Medals for top 3 place in each grade!

Cost: $5 per participant
